Looking for some shoes...

In particular, I'm looking for a pair of flat-soled boots which come up to between mid-calf and knee, allowing for my chunkier-than-average legs. I'd prefer them to be lace-up, and I'd like them to be leather but I realise I'll likely have to pay heaps for them if they are so other materials are an option ( Read more... )

What size shoes do you take, and what is your price range?

ok check out DFO some time, there is a shop in there that sells heavily discounted doc martens, which to my mind are the most comfortable shows in existence, last time I was at the one near southland they had 20ups in a womens ten for 100 bucks.

There's a couple of good outlets on Smith Street too. I have boot lust but no money.

OK... going totally country-gal here - where's Smith St?

My problem with boot lust is twofold - I'm fussy, and I'm usually broke - but my tax return is in and was awesome, so I'm giving myself a little bit of money for boots :-)

Ooh, where did you move from?

Smith St is in Collingwood, you live in Melbourne now right? I think it's the 86 tram from Bourke Street.

I got tax return boots the year before last, but I want brown boots now. The ones I got are 'tough' chunky black ones that don't go with everything.

Yay for tax returns, I need to do mine. I hope I get a bit back.

I grew up in Gippsland and moved to South Gippsland when I hit high school, we're 'technically' metropolitan... I'm living in Doncaster at the moment but have no idea where all the shopping strips are (especially as I'm usually not that interested in shopping).

The boots I'm looking for are flat and black but dressy.. Plus have to cater to my chunky legs :-D
