I am shattered
I looked up my childhood best friend on Facebook and was shocked and saddened to see that she has turned into a stupid-overly feminized-fake titted-jesusfreak-breeder! Her wall is full of inane one or two sentence posts about how much she misses her husband and loves god. She is nearly illiterate and has 5 kids. Ugh!
At least I can put to rest my curiosity about her and feel ok about not seeing her in over 25 years. Clearly we would have nothing in common. To contact her would be folly.
This got me thinking about others from the past, so I looked up several old classmates. There is a disturbing trend of conservativeness and stupidity. Nearly everyone who had information publicly available listed interests and groups, such as "Keep Christ in Christmas- who's with me?" and "Protect Marriage- one man, one woman."
What the hell is wrong with my generation? I thought we were more progressive than this?
At least I can take comfort in the fact that I look better than most of them, despite the fact that I have aged rapidly in the past 2 years.
