Dick was sitting in his room and was kicking Sparkles' ass at Mario Kart for the umpteenth time in a row. It was Sparkles fault for choosing to play as Peach. She sucks. Bowser for the win.

Veronica had waited to call Dick after getting Annette's phone call for a specific reason.

And now the time was right, so here she was, calling him.

Dick was in the middle of a race when his phone started to ring. He quickly flipped open his cell and used his shoulder to help hold up the phone to his ear.

"Hello?" Dick said quickly. And then to Sparkles, "If you hit me with a banana peel I will punch you in the face you stupid whore!"

Veronica swallowed hard, grateful she was doing this over the phone and not in person.

"I need to talk to you about something."

"What kind of something?" Dick asked. If he had been paying more attention he'd be more worried about the tone of her voice.
