Ok, so today was my first day working a double into graveyard. It was not my choice to stay I got a mandatory stay which sucks but the cool thing is...which I'm trying to remind myself because its 3am and I'm at work.....that I get time and a half for the first four hours and double time for the second four hours and if I worked my normal shift tomorrow the whole thing would be time and a half! That is so crazy! The other cool thing is that they gave me tomorrow off because they made me work tonight! Crazy! Its so relaxed except for the moment at shift change when we had a patient code and that was crazy! It was quite the production! Nurses doctors (Chad) and rapid response team all over the place pushing this patient with epi and god knows what else , all I know is that they jumped on him so hard doing CPR that they definitely broke a bunch of ribs! It was an adrenaline rush that I needed to be able to stay awake for the next eight hours!
There is always so much excitement here! I love it! I see people I know because I'm working with there family members! Like people from high school and all over the place! Its kinds crazy! Its making me want to really get into school to get my rn. Well I sure am glad to have my blackberry at times like this when I'm bored at work and can use this to update my live journal and check my myspace! Love it!
We watched loki this weekend (Christie and dustys dog) who is a huge mastiff! There are a couple pics of Samson and him and they look so cute! They loved playing with each other! Well gotta run.
