nothing special to report.  EXCEPT THAT JENN AND BRIAN GOT MARRIED.  and i was there.  it was the first wedding i've been to since i was a wee little toddler, serving as the ring bearer at my aunt and uncle's wedding in california way back when.  i don't remember much from that wedding, which, like my family, was of the jewish persuasion.  i remember uncle michael crunching the cloth-wrapped wine glass underfoot, i remember the cake, and i remember a big house with a patio where the reception was.  jenn and brian's wedding has pretty much all of the above, so everything was pretty familiar - except for the wine glass bit; all the wine glasses at this wedding were tiny and plastic, and by and large littered the area when all was said and done.  their two-year-old, river, was there, and man, i gotta say, i unabashedly love that kid.  he's just so freakin awesome.  even when he gets into trouble, or gets a little bit fussy, he's still a blast to hang out with.  at the wedding, he apparently didn't want to stay in his tiny little tux, so he ran around in a dinosaur t-shirt and light-up shoes.  straight gangsta.  the wedding itself was really nice.  jenn had a great dress, and looked very lovely, brian had a sharp tux, and everything had a very comfortable, this-is-how-we-wanted-to-do-it-not-how-we-were-told-by-everyone-else-to-do-it kind of feel to it.  the ceremony itself was amazingly short, and the reception afterwards was rewardingly lengthy.  it was really cool to see a bunch of old friends (with maybe one exception), and everyone got along great (again, with possibly one exception).  all in all, it was a rad afternoon, and if you think about it, and if you know them, drop jenn and brian a line to say congrats.  they'll still be in the middle of their honeymoon, but they'll get your message soon.  peace.
