I thought this would be a nice recipe to share, it is vegetarian, but I have made it for meat eaters too and they really enjoy it. Let me know how you like it if you end up making it.
What you will need:
Ingredients.
A crock pot
2 cups of Orange Juice
2 cups of Soy Sauce
4 red potatoes
6 carrots cut into halves and split down the middle
1 clove of garlic
1 yellow onion
1 box of morning star burgers (any flavor you like)
Directions:
Pour two cups o.j. and two cups soy sauce into your crock pot and set it on high, let that get warm. While it's doing that, cut your carrots into halves, and then split the halves, like so. Then cut your red potatoes up. I like to leave them in pretty good sized chunks.
My little beggars are waiting for a piece to fall while I am chopping away. They love carrots.
When you are all done cutting your veggies, they should look like above. Dump them into the crock.
Next peel and chop up one clove of garlic finely. Then dice one half of a yellow onion. You can use a whole if you want, but I am not a big fan of onions, so I just use half. Also the marinade that everything will be cooking in has a lot of flavor already, so I don't really think it's necessary to have that much onion. Once they are all done being cut, dump them in, and mix everything up really good.
Set the crock on low. Now you can walk away, read a book, watch some Curb Your Enthusiam, whatever. Come back in about 3 hours.
When you come back, the veggies should look like above. Kinda brownish, since they will have soaked up a lot of the oj and soy sauce. They should also be soft, test them by poking them with a fork. Last step is to add the Morning Star Burger patties. You can break them up into halves if you want, or just leave them whole. Leave them in there for about 15 to 25 minutes, with the crock set on high. Then it's time to eat!
