The garden is coming along. My landlords are moving back to Austraila next month and have been getting the townhouse in order before they depart. I am sad to see them go, Mike and I got really lucky to have people as nice as them managing things.
Anyhow, I came home yesterday to find four big pots of flowers in the front yard from them. And then when I looked at my patio out back, it didn't even look the same. They leveled the soil, added steps, built an area for gardening, put down mulch and stepping stones. We actually kinda have a little back yard now. I
planted a bunch of wild flowers in the section nearest to the patio and then veggies in the second section. So hopefully I will have yellow and red tomatoes and green peppers this summer. This weekend I want to attempt to migrate some of my potted plants to the gardening space. And plant some more veggies. Mike is also toying with the idea of putting up some type of mosquito netting so we can enjoy the space in the evening without getting a million bug bites.
I am so looking forward to summer. Mike and I are talking about having a BBQ soon at the house with friends like last summer. I miss those so much, and I love having people over and entertaining.
If you have any tips on gardening I am all ears. I am a total novice at this and I am a bit worried that I might accidentally kill everything I touch. I have bug killer soap, plant food and water of course. Anything else I might need or should know?
