Mister Van Gogh....
I read a lot last week about Van Gogh and the Impressionist movement. He has always been one of my favorite artists. I really find his life's story to be interesting too. He was so conflicted inside that it tore him apart. There was also so much going on in the world, a lot of change, transitioning from the old world to the new.
After all that reading I started looking at his paintings in online galleries. Especially this one here:

I love the effect the dabbing creates, and that expression on his face. So then I started doodling during some down time. And now this is the final result. I thought about coloring it, but I think that might take away from all the line art. I typically don't anything I draw, but I was happy enough with this to show it off here. Lastly, facial hair is really fun to draw.
