Outlander was okay. Nothing too exciting, but enjoyable.

When I saw the Sherlock Holmes trailer, I believe I rushed to Twitter to state that I wanted to see it now and the sequel in 2 months. It looks killer. Though the debate is of course raging amongst Holmes fans as to whether its an amusing action-oriented modern extrapolation of the source material or a worthless Hollywood bastardization. I tend toward "FUCKING AWESOME."

Yeah. It wasn't quite as exciting as I'd hoped and the effects were a bit rough. Though I did see it like 5 months ago. Don't know how it turned out on DVD.

Yeah, a lot of people use Snatch and Lock, Stock as an example of why Guy Ritchie is shit and has no place making Sherlock Holmes. Personally I don't care. The stoggy A&E-style Holmes has been done to death. The only way to go is a completely different direction. And this looks to be a very fun, amusing film. (My fondness for Holmes only goes so far as Young Sherlock Holmes.)

And, personally, I like Swept Away. It was kind of more fucked-up than any of his other movies. It was really sadistic and revolved around making his wife look like a stupid whore and then having her sexually assaulted, degraded and subjugated. Which is really what people want to see Madonna doing. So I don't know why they complained.

I hear Sean Penn has four 70 MM prints of the film he keeps in a locked room in his basement.

Okay, that's not true. ... That I know of.

I wouldn't blame him.

Shit, I'd punch every person I saw if I spent that much time with her. It's no wonder he's such a changed man.
