i packed up the contents of my living room shelves, some of my heavy jackets and sweaters, bedding that i dont use, 98% of my books and my cds. finding cd cases for the strays you've been keeping face-side-down in a pile in the corner of your desk is ENLIGHTENING to say the least. i still have some loners though. tomorrow its on to the art supplies, sans a pad of paper and my colored pencils just in case i have a moment. the porch bed has been taken down and my patio now houses all the boxes, including the one in which i am throwing all the stuff i want to sell in my garage sale. garage sales make me very happy. ever since i was a child i loved the whole bartering, making money off things you no longer need thing. i used to make like 200 bucks a pop when i was a kid, thats a big deal...i thought i was all set up, i was ready to retire. i've continued to love selling my wares throughout life, thats how i kept it as real as i did when my mom was "garnishing" my fucking allowance. and now, encinitas, you will be witness to millions of dollars worth of cracked-case reel big fish and 311 cds, mustard-colored sheets, some pretty great clothes, and a book about lesbians that i bought when i was 12 because i liked the cover. this, encinitas, isnt even the half of it.
next time you talk to someone from encinitas, tell them to buy my stuff.
bestfriend time now.
