i'd like to touch it sometime
yesterday i was reminded why my little bridge burning rampage of may 03' screeched to a halt, and i've never been more pleased to still have ms. dana in my life.
i was having a considerably lame morning so i called her up and asked her if she would hang out with me, she replied with a tone that made me think the old dana", the sassy happy laid back dana, was not completely lost. while she was in transit i showered and did my hair, looking cute always lends a hand to fixing shitty dispositions but i didnt quite succeed with the whole cute thing,...i was close though. she got to my apartment and we hung out, got high, and knit. she informed me that she had the whole day off and that she was going to take me to pokez, and thats exactly what happened. we smoked on the roof with lupe, joint and pipe double rotation, and she told us about her kid, who sounds absolutely awesome. rarity, i'm aware. after that we went into hillcrest, the town where she lives, and saw napoleon dynamite...and ther surprise wedding ending. yessss. after THAT we went to her apartment and i met her new cat, martin. martin is perhaps my favorite cat, he is totally adorable and only 8 or 9 weeks old so he's tiiiny. dana's apartment is pretty fucking cute too, it has a lot of charm and it made me look forward even more to moving to a place with more character. god bless the ritz colony and all, but fuck. the beige is getting old. i had a great day yesterday, simply fantastic. dana bana was just what i needed and as soon as the very idea to hang out with her came to me, i started feeling comforted by the familiarity. it's obvious that i dont talk to people or keep people in my life for sentimental value, or just because i was their friend at one point, and i tried to pull that shit with dana but she just wasnt having it...and i'm thankful. i'm thankful that i kept her around, and i'm thankful for her sitting and listening to me yesterday. sometimes its so healing just to talk and be heard. i'm also thankful for martin and dana's awesome hair. it just gets better and better every time i see her.
