novelty

There are many things we all take for granted. We walk and don't realize the ease in which we achieve our destinations. We kiss and do not always appreciate the golden opportunity. And beneath it all, we are a community of cells and involuntary impulses that work to give us these opportunities and achievements. What we take for granted, while not wholly urgent and significant, is nonetheless a fact and figure. However, there are moments when one can feel absolutely everything about itself. Not emotions, just feeling the skin that wraps and protects the innards. And the heartbeat which sustains one's life. And sometimes when there is the precise breeze, every hair follicle on a body will shiver with presence. Occasionally, you may be visited by the overall presence of senses. And you cannot help but look upon yourself as if for the first time, and you do not recognize what you see because you were not aware that you did exist in such a fashion. You can see your limbs and body and feel your muscles glide across your skeleton as you move. You can taste your teeth and hear the blood that pulses to your brain. And you can touch yourself with the most curious, timid stroke. You won't realize it at the time, but you are a novelty to yourself. You have never noticed it because yourself is in a constant state of monotony. It is at these times, we must take note of the catalyst of these thoughts and actions, for they might be worth noting. You may realize in the future that you are your greatest machine. You are built to fulfill your missions, whatever you decide them to be. There is no limit to the imagination and therefore limitless possibilty for action. Do not underestimate it. Do not underutilize it. Do not undernourish it. Be informed and be humble. And it will be your greatest novelty.
