Covered in chocolate, on a pony

I just got chastised for lj dying for a little while. So I will attempt to update, despite the fact that I don't even know where to start.

Everyone come see: http://www.shakespearekids.com/
I'm only ensemble right now and who knows how long I'll be doing it. But it's a really fun (especially if you have kids) off-broadway show. Contact me and we can talk about tickets.

I'm really happy that peoples are back in the city because I'll finally get to see them all.

Adina is definitely my goddess. And really talented. I urge anyone who needs pictures taken for ANYTHING to talk to her about it. She's amazing at it. She took headshots for me on Friday and she actually made me look good. So obviously she has significant talent. And then I got to show off my pictures all weekend. Although I may bring them up again next weekend to be even more obnoxious and show even more people. Also, I just had a lot of fun on Friday. I miss hanging out with people without external obligations. Then while Walmart sucked and took forever with our pictures, we went to PANDA GARDEN. I miss that place. Meg - we really need to go back to Choate at some point soon.

This weekend was really interesting. It was really nice to be able to hang out with peoples in the evening - especially Shane considering I never get to see him even though we both do Tux. Last night was Andrew's birthday, so that was fun, despite the fact we were all falling asleep in our food at Fridays. I realised that a certain someone was a trash collector and cannot wait to tell Sandie that. I think she'll find it as funny as we all did. Toasts are funny.

I'm going to miss Pete a lot the next two weekends - he's doing the Sand's Point show - but I'm just glad that Corey's only going to be gone for one weekend. Even worse though, Tom might not be coming back at all this year. He might be sent down to Louisiana to do Fireperson stuff, which would suck royally. Hopefully, even if that's the case, we'll get to meet up in the city. (So here's to us not worrying at all about that. Really. Of course not. At all.) There are a bunch of people though that I really will have to make an effort to stay in touch with in the off-season. (All 44 weeks of it. Look at my mad math skills.) Not to mention that who knows what will happen next season? Pete has told me that he will come and hunt me down if I don't return though. And then proceeded to tell me a story about how he was dating a girl and decided he wanted to spend a day with her and she had to work so he came into her work, picked her up - physically - and took off with her. Hehe. So that's...reassuring?

Black Monday was hilarious. The things people come up with. I didn't do anything extreme, just wore my Nightmare Before Christmas corset, which got a bunch of comments and laughs. A lot of our energies went into Andrew's birthday, though. OH and the Queen's Prime Minister came by early Monday morning and asked for two of our crystal balls to play with all day. So he spent all day playing with Pete's balls. I was just really sad that a certain snuggly person was there to enjoy it with me. And I told Don that you'd be there on the 11th, so we're both looking forward to that now. Despite talking to him though, Don still calls me "Redhead-not-married". He's hilarious and talented, definitely one of the best parts of waiting for the morning parade.

One of the many other interesting things that happened this weekend was that Francis showed up. It was really fun reconnecting with him after a good 4-5 years. He still remembered me which was rather nice and made me feel like less of a squeeing kid. I have to thank Shane for sending him over in the first place. It was still pleassantly surprising how well we connected/reconnected after all this time and change.

The show is still going well. We did the taping last Monday, which was really...ahem, interesting. I left my flat at 3:45 in the afternoon and didn't get home until about 1 in the morning. Mostly fun though, except for the exhausting bit. And getting somewhat lost in Staten Island, scary scary place that it is. Lou put us on the wrong bus and then got in the car so we got dropped off in the middle of Staten Island, late at night where the only thing around was a 7/11 cum deli place. So Rosie bought us all beer while we waited for the right bus and they gave them to us in brown paper bags! It was so homeless-on-the-streets-of-Staten-Island-esque.

Rehearsals, work, the show, and faire are really all eating up my time, my life and my brain. Hehe, tangent: I'm exhausted, everything is too much effort today and then I pick up a cup that I think is empty to put water in it and lo and behold, it has water! Some of which is now on my leg.

Last week I went out to see my parents. The new place looks really good. At least, the guest house does. They've made it feel very much like home, which is very discombobulating considering it's not what I'm used to and yet all the art, the furniture, everything, is the same. It feels good though. Being home was really weird. Jane took me to the mall on Wednesday and I felt so American. I got a really nice shirt though that I wore for the headshot pics on Friday. Then we had a dinner party Wednesday night and I got cramps in the middle of it. That was fun. Painkillers make life better though. It was fun getting updated on all of their gossip though. Nancy and Jeff are probably getting divorced, Joe had a meltdown at a dinner party of theirs the week before, Leo was over that night discussing, dissecting and somewhat apologising for it. (What do you expect when you have a couple composed of Psychoanalysts?) I am sorry I missed Bunny and Missy though.

Also, I am so bored and fed up with my garb. Since I have a little time to kill (since I'm planning on playing hooky from part of rehearsal tonight) perhaps I'll work on at least a couple new skirts. The problem is that I'm really bored of the bodices and those I'm just too lazy to make more of right now. I'm really glad that I bothered on Sunday though (Saturday I didn't really) because I almost didn't, and that would have resulted in me kicking meself.

See? This is why I've sucked at updating recently. I'm running on empty and feel somewhat like a balloon flying too high with nothing but a string holding it down. Hopefully tonight will begin to help me refind my ground, I've been missing it all summer.
