the healing power of chocolate....

Ahh...I was in such a fussy mood when I got home tonight...all depressed because of Dave (go figure!)...all depressed 'cause I got very few emails today -- and didn't get an email from the hottie in Austin -- and I had to go to a shoot for work (which actually was kinda cool -- the exhibit we did for Chabot is VERY cool)....so I was in a funk...knew I should make some healthy food for myself, instead opted for bread/honey and fake butter (trying vegan spread -- SOOO not the same as butter! Just as soon eat the butter!) Anyway...so I ate that and a couple of chocolate bars (that I snagged out of the roommate's chocolate drawer -- where the hell is she, anyway! She's gotta start moving that drawer around -- I don't want to know where it is!)....now I'm in a better mood (cause of the chocolate, I'm sure) but my stomach is churning....just not exactly the win-win I was looking for....but....at least I'm not in the funk anymore...Watched School of Rock on the ole DVD Netflix plan....it was cute -- totally predictable, but cute...and ....when the movie was over....I got an email from ....yep....Aaron (from Austin)..whoo hoo! Such the hottie! (thank goodness I'm running across a few of them these days!) There's actually an interesting story to tell..he and I met almost two years ago (Thanksgiving will be two years)....when Doug and I were having issues -- they were just starting (god...was it that long ago?)....I took a road trip solo back to visit grandma and my parents.....I stopped off in a few places -- Roswell and White Sands in New Mexico being two of them...the third place was the Guadalupe Mountains in West Texas -- my favorite park -- mostly because it's rarely occupied by very many people....it's a desert/mountain range -- it has kind of a freaky energy to it, but I love the fact that in the middle of the desert, there's a valley that's totally lush with leafy trees and a stream flowing through it (I still need to hike that thing!)....but....I happened to meet a guy...not even sure how we started talking, but....we did....conversation was flowing, and the next thing I knew, we were making plans to stay up to watch a meteor shower....it was cold, so we bundled up in blankets and huddled up against a rock to watch the sky....we stayed up very late...never saw any meteors (the shower was to be a couple of days later)...but we had a great time....he was making advances...and I was having a hard time resisting them.....but I did -- because I was still with Doug, and I couldn't cheat on him...so Aaron and I exchanged a few emails afterwards....then it died off....about two months ago, he emailed me out of the blue and we've been bantering back and forth alot lately....he emailed some photos....and I totally had forgotten how hot he is....and....I'd forgotten his sense of humor....well, he's got it all going on...and so I'm pretty interested in visiting him....it's been some time since I dated a lawyer....the last one drove me crazy, though...so...who knows? When I met him, he was off to South America for a world-wide vacation -- having just left his job -- now he's starting his own consultation firm...which I'm pretty excited for him (and to visit)....so...yes...I'm thinking about visiting....didn't really want to go back to Texas, but Austin is the coolest city in Texas (and there's a great macrobiotic group there), and my friend is in Dallas -- who I really should call.... Okay...enough babble....giddy like a schoolgirl again...thank goodness...see what a bit of chocolate does to me? :o)
