Shining Days

First day at school
The air is not yet crisp
The sun floods from behind the many countless faces
excitedly running to first new classes
There are bright days in life

Eeeee! Still excited to go to class today! In just an hour and a half I will be learning about different world Concepts of the Soul. After which I will examine how this physical, material thing we call the brain provides us with this completely in-tangible subjective experience of life. This is what I came to Colorado to learn. It's just so exciting to finally see my plans come into fruition, even if they did take the long and sometimes painful road.
It looks, however, as though my easy class won't be so easy. My Basic Painting professor said that if we miss more than 3 classes to just stop coming b/c it's an automatic F. Ouch! Same thing with being tardy. Double-Ouch! May have a slight problem here. I really really hope I can hack it though. After discussing our extensive supply list ($150 for MOST of it, on SALE!), he discussed what different painters believed art to be. I was ~*inspired*~. There is so much that I experience that I feel the need to express that cannot be put into legible, proper english. (Such as my lame little pseudo poem above. hehe) I'm chomping at the bit to get painting and to see if this is the medium for me. I would really like to find something that will keep me going during those long dark winter days. :(
Now that the summer is winding down I am already dreading a January that is still over 4 months away.

On a lighter note, I discovered that the pizza place on campus serves energy beer!! Wooo! Half a can and I'm ready to either do some homework or to just sit and watch the chaos that comes with the first day. I've never heard the Tivoli center so loud. Even better, me and my favorite girl have the same sched. Hopefully that means many school-day luncheons. Yay! :)

I just got a text from my hunny at his first day on the new job. So far so good! I don't want to jinx anything, so I'll sit here quietly with my little fingers crossed in my lap.
