My car got stolen

I have played enough video games to know that a theif should consider three important categories when selecting perspective automobiles: armor, speed, and sexiness. Why, then, would anyone want to take my car? You have to turn off the AC to reach freeway speeds, the worn red paint doesn't exactly say "come hither," and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't ( Read more... )

Trying to think of consoling words, the best I can come up with is at least it didn't catch fire on the freeway. Although at this point perhaps I should hope it does, that would be sorta poetic.

Not sure whether this would be good news or bad news, but I have it on good authority that most stolen cars are recovered in a few days. At least the last time I checked that was true.

That's what the sherrif told me when I was filling out the report, too-- most cars are found in two or three days, and the whole chop-shop thing is pretty rare in our area. So it might even be back to business as usuall for me by next week.

Well I'm glad we're keeping our stories straight.

And just to be specific, something like 80% of our stolen cars were recovered within three days. I haven't checked the numbers lately.

If it gets recovered in Tukwila, I'll buy you a Coke. :)

Well, if it's going to catch fire, I hope it turns the perps into zombies who then must be shotgunned by the police to protect society. That'd wrap things up. Except for the briquettemobile, which isn't as catchy as the batmobile. That'd be a bummer.
