lots of prayers!

i called to tell my former high school saxophone teacher about my good news of jazz orchestra. in reply he tells me the not so good news. "i need a double bypass and a valve repaired!" i lost it! i don't think many of you know about him. i don't talk about him much, but he has been a huge help to me these last 3 years at luther. he's answered my questions, helped me with papers, and has always been willing to talk and listen to me when life and school have seemed impossible. Not only that, but he brought me into the guard band, which isn't my favorite thing, but maybe will be in the future. I feel extremely sick and upset. He's like family to me and i worry. i know he'll be fine. i feel the best thing to do is be there for him during this difficult time and support him like he's been there for me.

I ask for everyone's thoughts and prayers.
