A slice of London...

I give you... a slice of London from my recent trip to the UK...

The National Gallery

Trafalgar Square on a bright, sunny day is an awesome sight. This is the National Gallery which forms one side of the square.
The future's bright. The future's...

Two ladies crossing the road near Leicester Square. This was shot from the hip, quite literally.
The Clock Tower

The Clock Tower of the Palace of Westminster... up, close and personal! The better known name for this famous London landmark is Big Ben. However, the name 'Big Ben' actually refers to the 13.8 ton bell which is inside the tower.
The London Eye

The gigantic BA London Eye stands on the south bank of the Thames river. Its the largest observation wheel in the world, standing at 443 feet in height. It has 32 pods or capsules, each carrying about 10-12 people. It takes about 30-40 minutes to complete one complete revolution.

The double decker bus

The bright red-coloured double decker bus is one of the characteristic symbols of London. Here one such bus is waiting at a bus-stop on Oxford Street, the shopping hub in Central London.
View from the London Eye

Early evening on a clear day is the best time to take a ride on the London Eye. As the sun sets and night descends, the view of a lit-up London is a truly memorable sight.
Guarding the Queen

A guard on duty at the Buckingham Palace.
