It doesn't seem like we are getting a new one this weekend and I feel like writing today so I've gone back in the posts for this one.
What's your favorite color this week?
My go-to favorite color is Magenta. I really enjoy reds, oranges and yellows though - esp in spring and fall (and we are getting there!!<3). They (orange/yellow) were also my wedding colors.
What job would be very unsuitable for you?
I think I would be terrible at any job where I had to convince people to do something with my tongue. I feel like the really important things I often want to convey always go in one ear and out the other. As a teacher, it is discouraging sometimes, but I just gotta hope that every reminder counts in some way or other and the good thing is I can do it over and over with them, whereas as a sales rep for example, one gets only one shot. And, hopefully, even though they forget who told them, the idea will take root and stick. That's all that counts when you are a teacher :)
What's your favorite Olympic sport?
I'm not really into sports but when I was single I sometimes watched the baseball and rooted for Canada and Japan. Ice skating is my favorite winter sport. I haven't watched it recently either but I used to really enjoy it.
Have you ever found yourself stuck out in the rain?
This is a difficult question. Being stuck in itself is quite a unique situation, let alone "in the rain." Or... maybe this is not literal? Would a bad breakup be considered "being stuck out in the rain" too? Not that I had such a breakup.
Oh... maybe it just means suddenly rained on without an umbrella?
In which case, yes, there have been times I remember having such an experience in the past. I have a really nice memory of walking home from school in a typhoon when I was in elementary school and abandoning my umbrella because the wind would have broken it. I got soaked and I LOVED it. I also loved the hot shower once I got home.
Recently, I have been caught by rain several times as I took Hana for a walk. Usually though I had an inkling it was coming and was testing the gods LOL And seriously, I was not bothered by it. The park is beautiful in the rain, and the soft patter of the rain is music when I am enjoying my time out with my dog. She enjoys the rain too. One time I just took shelter under the roof of the washrooms at the park while Hana played in the pouring rain for a bit. It was fun.

What does the tooth fairy do with our teeth?
I confess that I was a very bad tooth fairy. I forgot to collect those important little teeth very often and in the end, was giving out coins outright to my children in compensation for "that scatterbrained fairy." Many of those teeth are tucked away in a tiny little drawer among my accessories. I have no idea what to do with them. I mean, I feel like making a little album out of them, but that's kind of gross, right?? Anyone have any ideas?
OK, more on the fantastical side...
I think toothfairies bury the teeth under some trees that need the calcium in their growth spurt. It is a ritual - they all gather together one night under a full moon, do a little dance around the trees as they scatter the teeth and bury them and as they dance, the trees grow up, up and up into beautiful fully grown trees.
By the way, Japanese people do not have this tradition. But they do have a tradition with baby teeth.
If a top tooth comes out, you are supposed to throw it under the floor, and if a bottom tooth comes out you are supposed to throw it over the roof as a sort of prayer that the adult teeth will last many years.
