Day 3 - A song that reminds you of one/both of your parents.Yikes... I know which song reminds me of my dad, but it's a hymn, and he sang it in Japanese. He really loved it, and even as we cringed 〜 as slowly his hearing went and he couldn't sing it in tune〜 I could still feel his heart, if that makes sense. He really loved that song. The hymn was

Oh Country Roads is def. one of those songs. I chose it as one of my class' beginning songs last year, but for a while I had a hard time singing it without choking up, I was so homesick😅

I remember singing "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" as a teenager in my church choir. I always loved it. This is a beautiful arrangement and lovely harmonies.

"You Are My Sunshine" was one of my father's favorite songs. I don't care for it sung in this jazzy style though.

It's a beautiful hymn and I really like the man choir ❤ It's also perfect for remembering my dad. I had a sob session listening to it the other day, and the song has stayed with me.

You'd like the Johnny Cash version if it's connected to your dad's memory :)
