(no subject)
Holocaust update: The rest of the class got papers back yesterday. I read the first page of one marked with an A- for a writing grade. There were 7 tenses on the first page. Two sentences weren't even sentences, and I stopped counting after 3 typos. One of the two quotes s/he used had nothing to do with the point s/he was making, and the other was cited in an entirely different manner than the first. If you have a problem with my writing obscuring the points, that's fine, but you put those comments in the "argument" section. The "writing" part is for technical matters--but Mr. Nothing Good About My Paper got an A- for writing.
Mynewfriend update: She saved a seat for me in a crowded lecture hall. An aisle seat. How awesome is that? If you're not at a large university, maybe that doesn't mean anything to you. However, she ran into a tall guy after lecture. Well, not literally. So far I've resisted the urge to analyze and I've just enjoyed the past two weeks. No rush, no worries.
PowerBook update: I've ordered a form-fitting microfiber sleeve and extra RAM, but have yet to order the PowerBook itself. As soon as I get a deposit or two cleared, I'll order it. Even though I just realized that rent is, yet again, due soon. It feels like it's every month or something, I swear.
I SO watched the OC tonight. It was weird, but kinda cool. Seth and that brown-haired girl are quite entertaining and a little familiar.

I'm not that bad at first dates, but I'm not that good at going from there. I want to know everything about everyone I meet, and so my relationships are intense, but often marked by short lives. I'm exhausting. I wonder how this will play out in the future.
I still have that weird boat band-paper-thing up, from two years ago, with a red sharpie'd heart. I never did quite learn how to recognize an ending.
