week-in-review

So, this past weekend, I decided to stay back, and compared to the hustle and bustle of traveling, it was rather relaxing. The entire weekend was not one big walk in the park, though, it had its bumps and thumps, but Tru and I spent alot of time talking, getting to know each other better, and we're a lot closer coming out of it. Saturday night, Cardinal Shornborn (no idea how to spell his name) came and said mass, and it was awesome (except for the Latin parts). This Cardinal edited the Catechism of the Catholic Church, a very crucial book in my field of teaching the Catholic faith. So, he's a very wise and holy old man who was really cool with an awesome homily about how we are all the bride of Christ, and when he changed the water into wine at the wedding feast, he made so much wine that we are still drinking from it. Really deep, really cool.

Monday was Valentine's Day. The fist Valentine's day that I had a real, serious girlfriend. Kinda intimidating, eh? Especially since I was busy all day Monday and everything was closed on Sunday so I really couldn't prepare much. However, we had a common room reserved monday night, and after Tru surprised me with a few much-needed items from the Spar (Coke, Bacardi Breezer, Chips, etc) and a nice Valentine's Day card, I gave her a card with a poem I wrote, and then I played her songs on the guitar (woohoo a Mighty Wind). It was nice. Then we ate pizza and drank a Bacardi Breezer, and then danced to songs coming from an mp3 player she borrowed from someone. It was a really nice evening. Thoroughly enjoyed.

And now, I find myself a day before i travel to PRAGUE (yeah Czechyslo- I mean Czech Republic), and I'm still trying to figure out this train stuff. Oh well, I'm sure I'll figure it out alright. Pray for my journey. Be good while I'm gone.
