Did anyone catch Kobe Bryant's 81 point game last night? I caught the highlights on Sportscenter and it looked like a very impressive offensive display. At halftime, the Raptors led the game 63-49, but ended up losing the game because of Kobe's 55 points in the second half. A lot of people talk about how he only scores that much because he's such a ball-hog and never shares the ball with his team, but performances like the one tonight and throughout the season are reasons why the Lakers will probably make the playoffs...
And since I'm talking about sports anyway, it's looking like the Super Bowl will end being a really good game, unlike both championship games today. By the end of the first half of each game, the Steelers and Seahawks both looked like they had the game in the bag. I love the matchups between the two: MVP Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck, who had played amazingly well throughout the playoffs against a very strong Steeler defense and Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward, Parker and Bettis against an underrated Seahawks defense...
The Orioles seem to be making a lot of noise late in their offseason. They just recently traded for Kris Benson to fill out the rest of the starting rotation, but there are more rumors about another trade possibly going down. I'm still wishing that they can pull off a trade for someone like Bobby Abreu or Adam Dunn to bat behind Tejada, but we'll see...
That's enough sports talk. I lead a boring life, but I love sports.
