Breaking down bars, dashing past guards and gunfire, diving into the lake, and escaping to freedom

Last night was a lot of fun. I went to Lansing with Lauren, Joe, Sarah, Kelly and Amanda. Once we got there, we had delicious burritos for dinner and Joe showed me this cool little beer shop where you can pick the different beers you want in your six pack.

The original plan was to go to dinner and then check out some clubs, but that plan quickly changed when Sarah, Kelly and Amanda decided that they wanted to go to Canada. So they left for Canada and Joe, Lauren and myself decided to check out Lansing on our own. We stopped in a small bar called the Peanut Barrell and I had a few Jack and Cokes, while enjoying two good games of pool. The music in that place was amazing. I have never been in a bar that had such a nice little selection of songs. The drink prices were not too bad either. THE FLOOR WAS COVERED IN PEANUT SHELLS!!

After we left the bar, we went to this little arcade and played some games. I played a lot of shooting games, until I got bored. Roaming around Lansing was fantastic. The only unfortunate part was that a lot of places had dress codes, age restrictions and entrance fees. We still had a great time, despite these little bumps in the road.

Before leaving for home, I kept trying to get ahold of my buddy Pat, but he was at this crazy loud party and I couldn't hear a thing other than screaming, when he finally picked up the phone. Overall, it was a great time and I slept the whole ride home. I was happy to escape Alma, even if it was just for a little while.

I have to say, Lansing was way more fun than the "popularity contest" experience I had at Croc Rox on Friday. The place was fill with 18 year old high school students, underage drinking and stupid drama that I could have lived without. If they did not have a bar, I would have left almost immediately after walking in the door. Maybe I will have more fun if I go there with a friend or a date or something, but I highly doubt it. It did not feel like my scene at all.

And that was my weekend. I will try to post some pics on facebook soon.
