Our Christmas tree...

So we got our tree last night... and although we had plans to drive up to Grand Mesa to get one, hubby decided he couldn't support that idea. I really just wanted to get one there just for the whole experience, a once in a lifetime opportunity. But I see his point, and why chop one down there when there are plenty grown for the specific purpose of being cut for Christmas. So a life was spared yesturday, the life of a tree on Grand Mesa. Thinking about it now, I feel kinda bad that I wanted to do it in the first place. So, we went over to Lowe's and found a lovely 6'-7'ft Frazier Fur. The nice woman assisting us even gave me some cuttings from some other trees she trimmed today, and now I have enough to make a wreath. I will have to get Martha's expertise on this one, she knows what to do:)So the tree is up, lights are on, and V helped me put the bulbs on.(plastic bulbs, everything is plastic these days) Well, he tried as best as he could, he had a time getting the hooks to go on the branches, and wouldn't let me help him, so they kept falling to the floor. Eventually he got tired and just handed the bulbs over to me to hang on the tree. This morning, as soon as his eyes opened, he ran to the tree to plug it in! Too cute. So, our utility bill will be a little higher, but it's so worth it. I wonder if he will remember this Christmas?:)
