I forgot to mention the great dinner we had in Tulsa with our friends Scott/Claire from Texas this week. Wednesday I got a call from my friend Claire, who is on the road with her husband, Scottie, while he is working. She said she was in the area and wanted to meet up for dinner in Tulsa... We met up at the mall, and found a great Japanese cuisine/Sushi place called Fuji's... and I gotta admit, I was skeptical. I am not fond of sushi, and wouldn't dare eat any raw fish while this far along, no matter how brave I might feel... but I was pleasantly surprised! I had the Japanese chicken curry, and hubby had the Katsu Don, which was pork something, and wow! Great food! We all sort of shared and tried eachother's dishes, and I tried asparagus for the first time in my life, surprising I know, but it was great. Some how I thought the taste would be stronger, but it wasn't. Her hubby & his friend had a beer and it looked so good. The mug was all nice and frothy, but I wouldn't/couldn't drink while pregnant, even a little. Even though it sounds so nice. Claire said she had the occasion beer or glass of wine while pregnant, but I just can't do it. There will be plenty of dinners down the road to enjoy a beer if I feel the need. But we caught up, and I hadn't seen her since we were last on vacation in South Padre Island,TX, back in April 2006, so it was like old times. She had some good stories to pass on, and made me wish she lived closer so she could be around for deliver, or more after baby is home first couple days. Oh well. Hubby's mom came over last nite, and we visited for a couple hours, then hubby talked to brother for first time in over a year, which was short, and went surprisingly well. He put his 2 yr old son on the phone, and he was just adorable. He can say hi and bye, and that was about it. Adorable. The family is a step closer to mending, but we are taking things slow. That's been about all the excitement this week. Lots of appointments, oh and I just remembered I'm almost late for my 3 o'clock!!! bye!
