drinking with coworkers fun
So last night there was an enkai (宴会) for young teachers / teachers in charge of clubs... Soon the clubs will go to various tournaments and gatherings to compete against other schools... This was a kind of "cheer them on" party...
At one point in the party each coach got up in front of the crowd and gave a really short speech...
I did mine about the ESS (English Speaking Society) club, while Liz stood in support... This is what I said:
ESS部です。
English Drama Festivalに参加します。
負けないですよ！
Which loosely translates to:
"Hey we're from the ESS Club. We're going to participate in this English Drama Festival. We're gonna kick everyone's ass!!!"
Needless to say my speech was over with the other teachers...
