Friday went by so fast and there was so much stuff I was trying to get done...I had to finish my stupid GIS lab, which is much easier to do when you go to the lab helproom and just ask how to do things. I finished the last senior blanket, and then Justin and I went to go get the plaques, which were not done, so we had to wait for them. I finished some crafting and took things to Sarah Kiel so she could finish crafting, and then went to get ready for Relay.
Relay for Life kinda sorta really sucked this year, and it was disappointing because I had a lot of fun when I did it in high school. This year I never walked with the one person on my team that I actually knew, but when I took Jenn's 2-4am walk, Brittany walked with me for a while since she was there with the pre-vet people, so that was good. I also crafted some in between walking shifts and took a nap and got a drunk dial from Matt, which I finally picked up, cuz he drunk dials me a lot and I never answer my phone.
Saturday was of course awesome, minus the waiting for those patches for the senior blankets. I went to get color ink for my printer to print pictures, and upon returning from a long walk and wasting a considerable amount of ink and some paper, my roommate told me that I was also out of black ink and she forgot to tell me. But Amy printed for me, so it was all good. The banquet was so much fun, way better than last year. It was casual but I still felt like dressing up a little, so I did. Kiel and I had to make everyone wait for a while so we could finish those durn blankets, which ended up looking pretty sweet, if I do say so myself. Fencers+party+bonfire+drinking=good times, at least until Shayna came down and started interrogating Justin and me about what we have and have not done and yelling over and over that she would kill him if we have sex. It was highly amusing although a little disturbing...so we finally went back up to the house when we heard Matty P yelling something about us Galesburging by the fire and found out that we'd missed all the games. That must be how EMac and Shayna felt when they went to Matt's last party, we were completely sober and everyone else was so drunk already. Kiel was already unable to stand alone I think. And another note to Kiel: when sleeping on a pull-out couch with 3 other people, it is unacceptable to sleep with your feet curled up, as it greatly reduces the amount of space left for other members of said sleeping space.
We played flip cup in the morning with the sole purpose of finishing off the keg, but half of us were, as EMac said, 'beer snobs' and were counter productive to the point of the game (aka Kara's parents were coming later and Justin and I had to get back to campus safely and I had to go to work), and team sober got our asses kicked. Good fun.
I'm glad the weather is finally coming to its senses and realizing that it is indeed spring! I hope it stays like this now and doesn't revert back to another mini-winter. In two weeks when I'm home for the summer I want to do summery things outside and not wintery things inside. I had Christmas break for that. I got a job for the summer! Some days I'm happier about it than others, but it's a job and I need one so I'll just go with happy.
Things that are standing between me and summer vacation:
study for lab
study for GIS
study for ISS
work
Alum tourney
study for ISS again
study for econ geo
study for ISB
work during excess final week time
take down loft
pack
move home!
So I think I'll get cracking.
