Of Inspirational Songs and Vanilla Twilight
He always wrote songs inspired by someone who taught him the importance of love and loving someone.
It was magical. The lyrics always had a deep meaning.
Sometimes the lyrics are all about his experiences with him.
All those happy moments, during the times when he considers himself
to be the luckiest person ever and during the days when they would share their voices to everyone.
They were always recognized to be someone to look up to, their love was real, their songs were inspirational.
Somehow, it always leaves a deep memory to whoever heard it.
"Jongwoon hyung...its a vanilla twilight." Ryeowook says happily after their duet at the park and holding hands.
Both of them stared at it in unison with the crowd who would always listen to them and would always
cheer for them in every chance they get.
Children who ran and played stopped to watch it, cars stopped and people went off to get a better view of the sky,
busy businessmen watched closely from their offices' glass windows, it was also so magical,
enchanting and heart touching.
It was like the day they first met. They were so amazed by the sky that they bumped to each other.
The same day they found out they go to the same school. The same day they found out they're both singers.
The same day they found out their voices blend together.
A vanilla twilight appears seldom but somehow it appears when they sing.
Its something that is tattooed to their hearts, a vanilla twilight. They just had to hold hands
and fill each other's spaces while staring at the sky. They smile at each other and treasure every seconds the clouds appear.
When it disappears, its upsetting and disappointing, but they would sing again to make it better.
"Ryeowook." Jongwoon would always call him to the roof to stare at the stars. "Its beautiful right?" He would always ask him the same question every time.
Ryeowook would always take too long to respond. "Its perfect." Everything is perfect for them.
Each other, hands tangled together, skins leaning to each other. Jongwoon always hugs him from behind
every time they're at the roof. For them, there're only the two of them at this moment.
They loved each other more than anything else.
Their songs are all about the love they shared. Their emotions are true, their inspirations are each other.
Jongwoon would help him compose every time and that makes a song a thousand times special.
Every song was touched by hands and words of two people sharing a pure and true love to each other.
That was 2 years ago.
He still wrote songs. He's still inspired. The lyrics still have deep meanings.
His lyrics now were so heart-touching...and heart-wrenching. He lost half of himself. He lost one of the recipes needed to a song.
Yes, he can still inspire people. He still inspires people to treasure every moment they have with their loved ones. Somehow its not the same to watch the vanilla twilight with no one to fill the spaces of his fingers. Now, the vanilla twilight rarely appears.
"Jongwoon hyung...its the vanilla twilight again. " Ryeowook said while kneeling in front of Jongwoon's grave.
He sighed and pulled out a letter. "Hyung, its a song I wrote for you. When we meet again, let's promise to sing together again." He said with a lower tone. Sadness and loneliness can always be seen in his eyes even if his smile wanted to cover it.
He loved him more than anyone else.
"Jongwoon hyung." He stares at the sky with twinkling stars, alone at the roof. "Its beautiful...and its perfect..."
He smiled as he stared blankly, standing up and walking towards it, getting closer and wanting to touch it.
That was a year ago.
Everybody who knew them, their neighborhood, their friends, relatives,
families would always visit two graves at the same time.
Now, the vanilla twilight wouldn't appear anymore. It would, when its their death anniversary.
They died at the same day, different years. Its amazing, people can see their connection to each other.
They were really for each other.
Almost everyone who admired them knew Ryeowook was suffering from insomnia
and he somehow never sleeps. He walks at the streets and sing to the children when they requested it.
But he never sang on the stage he and Jongwoon used to sing at. Never again.
That place remained empty. Everybody knew the importance of their presence and their songs.
Listening to that song sung by someone else doesn't feel the same as two people singing it.
On the night he died, he was last seen on the roof and staring at the stars again.
They assumed he fell or not, he jumped from the roof. It was tragic, it was saddening, its something
every person wouldn't even want to see..
Its more painful than getting robbed and losing a lot of your own money.
Money can't pay the same amount of joy that they gave.
Just four years ago, this place was so lively and was always inspired. The neighborhood
were full of inspirations and love.
Now, Ryeowook and Jongwoon aren't here anymore.
But the songs remained. The inspirations remained. They left their voices to every ear that heard it.
They shared their voices to everyone, they had spread their love to the vanilla twilight and
they hoped for another one to appear again.
"Didn't we promised to sing together again?" Ryeowook asked.
"We did." Jongwoon replied, smiling.
They sang to every hearts again. They still wanted to inspire people and being one of the clouds didn't stop them to do so.
Actually, it was more easy like this. Touching hearts through songs like how the vanilla twilight touched their own hearts.
