well played

I really like this kid. I just hope her wide-eyed enthusiam stays, long after she's disillusioned with the political process and how frustrating the boy's club of American politics can truly be.

Her complaints do call into question though the problem aspiring female politicians are being faced with, namely that there are very few prominent female politicians for them to look up to. I'm wondering though why the girl didn't like Hillary Clinton or Condoleezza Rice.

I get the feeling this kid's going to be pretty darn scary when she grows up but hey, we need that kind of zeal representing women in politics. Plus, she's already better versed in American history than most politicians talking today so that's a start.

Seriously though, why have Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin become the face of female American politics? Could I please hear more from maybe Hillary Clinton or Kirsten Gillibrand? People who don't come off as bigotted backward idiots? Or hell, please just ONE GOP female representative or politician who sounds relatively sane? Or actually, now that we're on the topic, just one Republican who doesn't make anti-gay politicies, anti-abortion rhetoric, and anti-healthcare reform cornerstones of their politics.

Or does that make me a liberal commie America hating Nazi?
