❦ basics
name: Violet "Vi" Parr
age: 17
Gender: Female
Movie/series: The Incredibles
Year or position: High School Junior (11th grade or 3rd year)
Non-Speaking Animal Companion(if any): None
Powers(if any): Violet has the abilities of invisibility and force-field projection. She can instantly render herself partially or entirely invisible. The purple-colored force fields she can generate are powerful and sturdy, being able to withstand great amounts of pressure. She can change the sizes of these force-fields by will, and is capable of levitation while in a force-field. However, she can't use both of her powers in conjunction; this means no turning invisible while her shields are up, and vice versa.

❦ In depth:
Personality: Violet is your typical yet atypical teenage girl. She enjoys listen to music, reading fashion magazines, hanging out with friends, being with her (ex)boyfriend, and spending time with her family. She's prone to sarcasm, and can roll her eyes at you like a pro. On the flip-side, she has super-human powers that make her feel like a fish out of water most of the time. Even with the self-acceptance of her powers, she still wishes to fit in and finds it difficult to share her abilities with others outside the Super community.

While more confident than before the movie's events, Violet is still doubts herself. Disappointing her parents and losing her boyfriend doesn't help in the slightest. She's more outgoing now, but her progress took a slight back-track due to her being forced to attend a school where she'll know no one. Don't be surprised if you see her reverting to back to her shy/meek/moody/loner self for a while.

More positively, Violet is a very smart and resourceful girl, as evident by her using her force-field to free her family from Syndrome's energy prison. As a super-hero, she does her best to protect the innocent and uphold justice, even if her view of good and evil isn't as black and white as other Supers. Also despite driving her bananas, Violet is extremely dedicated to her family and is willing to do anything to be them safe. Family is the most important thing in the world to her.

Canon Background: Here (General Movie Plot) and Here (Specific Role in Movie)

AU Background: Both of Violet's parents were once the celebrated, crime-fighting Supers, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. But thanks to an influx of lawsuits from injured bystanders that lead to a political backlash on all Supers, they were forced to stop crime-fighting and live normal lives. Forced to hide their powers, the Parrs had to relocate all over the continent of Evangeline whenever Bob’s “visits” back to the “glory days” got out of hand. Violet herself, insecure about her unusual abilities, wished to actually be normal. Finally settling in the city of Metroville, the family continued with the semblance of normal suburban lives…that is until Syndrome came along.

The rest is canon history. After defeating Syndrome's Omnidroid and placing Supers once more in the public's good favor, the Parrs went on to protecting Metroville from criminals and super-villains alike. To the public, they were known as the Incredibles. From there on, Violet's life become that of the typical teenage girl who moonlighted as superhero. With her new-found confidence, she gained more friends and a boyfriend; however, she had to sacrifice spending time with them in order to stop the city from being destroyed by baddies on the weekly basis. Due to the defensive nature of her powers, Violet often unwillingly got stuck with "baby-sitting" duties.

Frustrated, Violet did her best to hone her powers to be more offensive so she could prove to her parents that she belonged where the action was; at the same time, she desperately tried to keep her relationship with Tony. Neither goals were met. During a bank robbery, she tried to end the mission more quickly (so she could make it to her date) by directly attacking the robbers herself. Things didn't exactly go as she planned, and she would have been killed if it weren't for her family saving her butt last minute. She also was still late for her date; Tony saw this as the last straw and broke things off.

And just to make things even more peachy-keen, Bob and Helen deemed her actions as reckless and irresponsible. When the letter requesting the teen to come to Disney Academy arrived, her parents saw it as a great opportunity for her to learn responsibility and to remain safe from the ever-growing threat of the Black Mist, and decided that she should go. Violet, on the other hand, wasn't as enthusiastic. However, there wasn't any room for argument, so begrudgingly she packed her bags and set out for her new school. Oh joy.

Appearance: Violet is the average height of a teen girl, so about 5'5''. Like her name, her eyes are a violet-blue color. She has long black hair that's usually held back in a colorful headband. Her choice of clothing is usually somewhat in style, but always comfortable. So uniform-wise, she prefers the shorts over the skirt (she does like the black and red bow though). Because of all the crime-fighting she does, she has an athletic build, but still barely any curves to speak of...at least for now...hopefully. Most of the time, you'll see her without the mask and the costume on, but when there's trouble on the loose, don't be surprised to see her donning a very fetching red spandex ensemble while kicking some bad-guy tail.

Classes:  Philosophy 101, Martial Arts, Ancient History, English, Introduction to Modern Justice Systems, Leadership Skills (her parents made her), Music, Driver's Education, Algebra 1 & 2, and Criminal Investigations.

Clubs: None at the moment

Best Subject: Social Sciences and the Arts

Greatest Fear:Not being strong enough to protect her family if they're in danger. She can't bear the idea of her family coming to harm, and that she's too weak to do anything to stop it.

How long have they been at the school(remember this school is from kindergarten on):  This is her first year
