Make a new layer(Shift + ctrl + n ) and fill it with #542002,set it to screen at 100%, duplicate it and set this second one to substract at 50%

Copy visible(shift + ctrl + alt) and paste it on the top of everything (ctrl+v).

Hue/Saturation:
Hue: 0
Lightness:0
Saturation:30

I use 30 for this but for other icons you might need to use less or more saturation,depending on the colours of your base,though I dont suggest more than 50.

Color Balance ( Colors > Color Balance)

Midtones:15,-2,0

Channel Mixer ( Colors > Components > Channel Mixer)

Uncheck "Preserve Luminosity" and "Monochrome" 
Red: 
130,-20,-15 
Green:

Blue: 
-35,25,120

New Layer (Shift + ctrl + n ) fill with #d9e19f set it to substract at 20%

Duplicate your base,drag it to the top and set it to Soft Light at 50%

Merge everything (ctrl+m) and sharpen( Filters > Enchance > Sharpen).
