it has been far too long since my last post, so i decided to dust off the proverbial book and write another entry. Normally, during the time period of a month, SOMEthing interesting happens to me, whether it involves bodily harm, alcohol, long trips to the middle of nowhere, or all three. Such was the case of my last major experience, in which joe and I decided that it would be a shitload of fun to drive up to JMU (james madison university for you uncultured folk) and get completely trashed at andy's fraternity's first giant pledge party, which was lovingly entitled "Do Anything For Money."
Reflecting upon the experience, my major lesson to those of you about to embark on your college journies is to find out the potency of the punch before consuming it in vast quantities. You can go ahead and ask andy, that shit was pretty intense: as much sugar and everclear that could possibly be mixed with the fruit punch without emitting noxious fumes was added. Combined with consuming all my drinks within a 30 min time period and being tired originally, I was hideously plastered, to the point where it was extremely difficult to stand. Matters became complicated when I received a phone call from a companion telling me that the cops were there and that i should run. Obviously I was not in the best state of mind to make judgemental decisions, and combined with the flashy lights in the distance, I opted to "run" as far away as possible. Additionally, as I later found out, this was the opposite direction in which everyone ELSE ran. So im concentrating on staying on the sidewalk, when suddenly it disappears and is replaced by a looming hill. Unable to stop, i tumble down the hill...into a large mess of thorn bushes. I may have said a profanity at this point in time, although it the alcohol had numbed my senses so it wasnt too bad...In any case, i was stranded there for a good twenty minutes due to my inability to move my arms and legs. I was that blitzed. Somehow I managed to pull myself up the hill, where craig (andys wonderful brother)'s girlfriend found me and helped me onto a bus. I remember nothing else from that night, although i have been told that i ran into several walls, and attempted to call one of the marching band staff. Naturally I dialed the wrong number and told a complete random stranger how wasted i was. If anyone wants to call him and tell me who the heck he is, his number is 410-569-1451. All in all, a very fun-filled evening. Im sure everyone reading this has already heard about this episode, but I decided it would be a delightful topic for a livejournal entry.
In other news, I made 2nd chair allstate band! woo. Definitely this year, things are going to happen in baltimore that will make this quite an enjoyable experience, far surpassing the "drop your pencil in your mute" game that was invented last year at allstate. I just got back from taking my senior pictures at daniels photography, and that was fun..i got to look handsome in a tux. I need to write my essay for robb about ewoks and chewbacca, but that can wait until i waste another few hours doing nothing and talkin on the phone...
