So sorry about the lack of Thanksgiving food at the mansion, everyone. I really meant to try for a big feast, but I got sort of caught up. But hey, I'll do one later, okay? Hopefully before Christmas rolls around. We need to have a day that's just way too much food, and hanging around and being glad for each other. Timing just didn't work out ( Read more... )

I totally didn't even think about Thanksgiving.

Yeah, I sort of completely forgot about it, myself. Which I know not everyone celebrates it, but I was actually planning something, so- I fail at party planning, I guess. Oh well, I'll get to it eventually.

How are you doing, Blue?

Well, it is a nice holiday.

I'm all right! Better, now that the boxes seem to be gone.

It really is! And I actually do have a lot to be thankful for, too. But we'll catch it next time around. It's not like the holidays don't come back.

Oh, good! And yeah, me too. They really made me nervous, just sitting around. But I didn't want to have other people come across them and push them, so we just sort of had to leave them in a room.

Why do you call it Turkey Day?

Oh, it's sort of a tradition, to have a turkey as the main dish. Some people don't like turkey, though, so it's not exactly universal.

It's not a very romantic name, is it? And turkeys aren't really the most romantic of birds. I'm trying to picture how awful it must be -- to know that, once a year, every year, you are doomed to sacrifice your life so that others may live and celebrate -- but then I picture an actual turkey and it ruins the entire scene.

Oh, dear- it does, doesn't it? The only live turkeys I've met were really rather nasty, so I guess I didn't feel that bad about it. Still, that's usually why people decide not to have turkey. They don't like to think about them being killed every year. I can't really blame them for that.

Thanksgiving's too much fun to keep to one day, right? Maybe the City'll quiet down for a while and give you time to cook something up.

You're completely welcome, and thanks again for coming, Fred. It really, really wasn't mooching, and I'm glad you came.
