Dear friends, my computer is dying. I bought this computer back in 2004 or 2005, so it's had a good long life as computer lives go. I ran a backup just a few weeks ago so I'm not stressing too much about file recovery, thankfully. This weekend I removed my ipod from its case for the first time in probably five years. I bought the ipod in 2006, got a cheap case which almost immediately scratched the screen, invested in a $30 rubbery ipod jacket instead, and it's pretty much lived in there ever since, until this weekend, when I was out of town with friends and we needed music ( Read more... )

So last night I re-installed iTunes. Then I uninstalled it, then re-installed it again, uninstalled it, re-installed it, uninstalled it, and re-installed it. The winning version: 9.0! Apparently the latest versions of iTunes include some sort of files that stay on your computer even after you uninstall it to prevent you from reinstalling a much ( Read more... )
