TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY:
SHORTWAVE TROUGH IS EXPECTED TO KICK OUT INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS
DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. A COMBINATION OF INGREDIENTS SEEM TO BE
COMING TOGETHER WHICH COULD LEAD TO OUR FIRST GOOD SEVERE WEATHER
OUTBREAK OF THE YEAR. THE BIGGEST QUESTION MARK WILL BE THE AMOUNT
OF MOISTURE THAT IS ABLE TO RETURN AHEAD OF THE SYSTEM. OTHER THAN
THE MOISTURE THERE IS PLENTY OF DYNAMICS TO WORK WITH. EASTERN
KANSAS SHOULD BE IN THE LEFT FRONT QUADRANT OF A JET STREAK ROUNDING
THE BASE OF THE TROUGH. THIS COMBINED WITH VERY GOOD UPWARD VERTICAL
MOTION AND SURFACE CONVERGENCE ALONG AND HEAD OF BOUNDARY MOVING
THROUGH. INSTABILITY SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE EITHER BUT IF MORE
MOISTURE CAN WORK NORTH THIS WILL ONLY HELP TO MAKE THINGS MORE
UNSTABLE. AFTER THE FIRST ROUND OF STORMS GOES THROUGH WE COULD GET
MORE UNDERNEATH THE CLOSED 500MB LOW AS IT MOVES EAST. WRAP AROUND
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED WEDNESDAY AS THE LOW MOVES EAST INTO THE
MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY.
