a brief keyhole into my world
Life is picking up and I am working on finding jobs in Buffalo.
I wrote letters to yoga studios in the area, I'm working on an application for a mentor position at a community college, and I am waiting on my last reference to complete my chemistry resume so that I can apply to a slew of lab positions that I am interested in. Beyond that, I am also working with two theater groups, hoping to secure a position playing in the pit orchestra. It could be "Crazy for You" or "The Secret Garden" or maybe even "City of Angels." We shall have to see how things work out.
I've also looked into studying for the GREs, and expanding my vocabulary will probably be the biggest challenge of it, though I'm not very concerned.
Katie has gone out on Lake Ontario again, and she'll return in a few days. It is strange to have the place to myself in the evening, but I hope I will be able to finish my mentor application and send it off before she returns.
And I get to experiment with cooking something new, perhaps!
