Have you seen "some like it hot"? Marilyn Monroe is definitely not halle berry size in that. Marilyn Monroe was probably a size 10 or maybe even 12 in that movie. I think Marilyn Monroe movies give a better assesment of her size. Maybe you think she's so skinny cause her weight fluctuated a lot.

i keep thinking of that humongous bosomy blonde that marcello kept chasing around in la dolce vitae. nunez walked in while i was watching & was like, good lord!

yea some pics of marilyn look a lot skinnier than others. but yea, while i definitely think marilyn monroe is way bigger than halle berry, whom i think of as skinny, size numbers back in the day corresponded to smaller sizes than they do now. hence me owning all these size 14 blouses from the salvation army.

I like that you said "gibe" because it is a good word.
I also like that you titled your entry after what the monsters says when it runs across the screen in the "Mutant Enemy" logo that shows after every Buffy episode.
And I think that weight is more telling that pictures, because pictures lie, and so does film.

Haha. I thought of you when I used "gibe." I don't remember what I thought though.
Yeah I'm deleting some of my comments above because they are annoying me, so many used to say so little.

Yeah, it is sort of strange. I definitely had to look twice the first time I saw her in them.

i was calculating the sized based on what i would say her size is now based on how she looked then. i know that she supposedly wore a size 14 or 16 of that day. but i think at some points, especially in some women like it hot, she would definitely be a size 10 or 12 of today.

I agree with jmmorton on this one. I am intimately aware of what a size 10, 12, etc. body looks like, and MM definitely looks like she averaged a size 10. Which, by the way, is not fat. That Urban Legends site, tho--there's no way MM's maximum weight was 140. Nope.

The italics on "not fat" were directed at Elizabeth Hurley (bitch!) not anyone who posted above!
