Today's random thoughts and things
It's more of a wish, really. I wish alternamilks (don't worry, I know that's not going to catch on) came in packaging that was universally recycled. The cartons aren't recyclable here. Boo.
People still think it's baited, not bated breath.
The lead I had on re-doing my kitchen chairs was a dead end. He knows people across the country and not a one of them have the vinyl I want. If a restoration place comes up empty, I fear all hope is lost.
DirecTv sucks monkey balls. I couldn't log in to pay, haven't been able to for months, actually. Called to do the auto-pay via phone. Got stuck talking to someone I could not understand at all (I'm not like that, this person was really not speaking clearly), was told to another department handles it, got transferred to them, the told me to call another number. Call another number, they give me the third degree and 45 minutes later tell me they'll charge me $5 for the convenience of paying this way. I said, "Nothing about this has been convenient, so no, you will not be charging me that." They didn't, but they DID put me on some telemarketing auto-dialer because now I am getting calls multiple times a day from an 800 number with no one on the other end. Fuckers. Sorry for my French.
I got a really bad audit at work. Like, a series of unfortunate events kind of bad. *sigh* I get so mad because that's not actually representative of the work I do and the tool they use makes one error count in four or five different places. So you make the mistake and it trickles down. Personally, I think that's shit, but what are you going to do?
Ordered a jean jacket in an extra large juniors, because I have large arms and I'm not a junior. I'm swimming in it. To try to shrink it or just return. Hmm.
Pickle has started outright hunting Roy. I have no idea why her aggression has turned to him - he's the only one who isn't mean to her! Cats, man, I'll never figure them out.
