The moment we've all been waiting for
So I figured, if I didn't get any kind of help this semester, I would be doomed to failure. I'm trying to arrange something about that when the Monday after spring break rolls around, which is like...after today. WHOO!
Last night I asked everyone if they wanted to go to Fox Common to see Dr. Professor. Jon, Josh and Mike all agreed, but only Jon and I ended up going. Mike did show up to see Softer's opening set. They claim to be an indie emo band, but they didn't sound all that emo to me, which was kind of a relief I guess. Yeah, they were good, especially the drummer. They were definitely better than most of the bands we get here. So we left and told everyone about it, and I invited Mook Boy to come with us, but apparently he would rather just sit around and smoke weed. So I got mad at him. Then we went back to see Dr. Professor, and man, they were amazing. They'd play stuff which I could only describe as ambient funk, hip-hop, freestyle...man, they could do it all. I wish I could've seen their whole set, but it was getting late, so we decided to just go back, CD-less. (I downloaded some tracks anyway from purevolume and their website, http://www.drprofessor.com.) By the way, purevolume has another band you should definitely check out, it's called Apollo 13 and they are also amazing, they're an alternative rock/electronic band and their CD sounds like a spy movie soundtrack. Kickass.
So when I get home I hope I'll get to hook up and do stuff with Mike and Jon, the only local boys I know out of my friends here.
And I hope to see lots of [my girlfriend's] boobies as well. XD
