This is one of my favorite things, ever! So delicious and so simple.
I made these with chicken and turkey left from some stock I made a while ago, which made it super easy since the meat was already prepared. All I did was thaw it!
1 can reduced fat crescent rolls
1 onion, diced
1 8 oz. package neufatchel or cream cheese
1 Tbsp butter or margarine
1 can low fat cream of chicken soup
1 8 oz container of light sour cream
1 lb cooked chicken or turkey, shredded
Saute diced onion in butter or margarine until clear. Add cream cheese and chicken or turkey and stir until everything melds together. Remove crescent rolls from package and lay flat on a baking sheet. Spoon mixture into rolls and roll up. Bake according to package directions. While rolls are in the oven, put cream of chicken soup and sour cream in a sauce pan and heat just until boiling. If you'd like a thinner consistency, add water. Makes a delicious sauce/gravy for the roll-ups and/or mashed potatoes.
