I tried a new recipe for molasses cookies last week, and they turned out really well. I made a few changes: brown sugar instead of white, and instead of adding powdered ginger to the mix, I chopped up some candied ginger and added it along with some walnuts after I'd taken the dough out of the fridge. And I left off rolling them in sugar at the end.

It makes a huge batch--pity it can't be halved, since it only calls for one egg. Oh, well. I'm sure I'll think of something to do with all the extra cookies. *munches*

I think I'm going to make this again tonight to bring to my movie night tomorrow. A bunch of friends from my political philosophy class are getting together to watch Orson Welles' The Third Man. We are so cool.
