(no subject)
i still check my livejournal every day, so i'm not sure why i don't write in it more.
i spent yesterday and today in tuscaloosa - my semester is paid for in full, i can legally park on campus without getting slammed with ridiculous citations, and i have a job! next time you're at university mall, swing by the great american cookie company, and i'll see what i can sell you. laugh all you want... but i really need a job, and i didn't have to put any effort into getting this one, so it will do for now. and i get free cookies. the point is that i got home, turned on my computer, and was so excited to see a bunch of new friend posts that i'm updating too.
it sounds like everyone is nervous about starting school, either again or for the first time. i for one can't wait to go back. i miss the atmosphere, the bigger city, the skeleton for a routine, and the people i love who don't live anywhere close to scottsboro. i'm actually so ready that i'm moving back a week early and sleeping on whatever vacant couch i can find. this is saying a lot because i was anything but the ideal freshman... i slumped almost all year, didn't join anything, and spent almost all my time holed up in my room feeling miserable and gaining those 15 pounds. but by the end of the year, i was happy and thriving again, and college didn't seem nearly so bad anymore.
so to my friends who are heading off to school for the first time, i want to be a resource! if you have any questions or want to hang out or need a carpool or get hungry for cookies, hit me up. and keep lj-ing, so everyone can keep in touch and up-to-date so no one gets lonely.
