My backtrackings are really late... But better late than never i reckon? :)
The bright neon lights of Las Vegas
We spent a night in Pasedena before driving up to LV the following morning. Pasedena had a predominantly asian community residing there, if i'm not wrong. We met lots of fellow asians in the vicinity where we lived. We even stayed in a motel ran by a couple of taiwanese people. Lots of asian food can be found in the area too. We took a bus to downtown LA, had ramen in little tokyo and visited the walt disney concert hall.
The next morning, we took a long coach ride to LV.. It was long, really long. We passed by endless snow-capped mountains, vast dessert land, blue blue skies with fluffy clouds all over.. When we finally reached LV, you could tell how different it was as compared ot the other US states we've been too. Big hotels all clustered together, bright lights, lots of neon sighboards, casinos.. LV.. was an interesting visit but i doubt anyone of us would want to visit that city again, heh..
Beautiful snow-capped big bear mountain on our way up to LV :)
Sigh, the skies are so much more gorgeous overseas..
Crazy outdoor ride in LV.. Hotels etc.

And the MGM lion roars.. HAHAHA.
The venetian at LV is gorgeous. So gorgeous and huge :) It's so pretty inside! The man-made sky looked really real with the high ceilings.. With so many small shops inside, you don't really have to leave to hotel to get any shopping done :)
Spotted a lady getting her wedding pictures taken :* sweeet.
Outside, watching the water show..
Random ones from LV :)
It was Christmas still at that point of time, the malls were decked out in the prettiest christmas deco inside. With happy music playing.. :) The festive feeling is really different as it is over here. I guess the wintery weather makes a big difference too :p
We had a really early morning the next day for our very much anticipated trip to the Grand Canyon. We were on the west rim of the Grand Canyon and it was a long bus ride that took about 3 hours long? We passed by Hoover Dam, the much acclaimed filming site of Transformers. It was.. HUGE.. Thank goodness for good weather that day with the sun out in its full glory, providing some warmth from the high altitudes of the grand canyon :)
Being at the Grand Canyon itself is an experience i'll never forget.. It's so breathtakingly beautiful that neither words nor photos can justify its wondrous-ness. As i stood at the edge of one of the cliffs and looked around at the ranges surrounding me, one can't help but feel the power of mother nature (so cheesy, i know).
The Grand Canyon just seemed to stretch on for miles and miles long, you'll never see the end of it. I felt so minute and insignificant.. The Colorado river glimmered and shone like a silver stream from where i stood. It's such a pretty picture to behold. No wonder the Grand Canyon is one of the World's eight natural wonders.
