Judge Walker rocks. He absolutely laid it out so even the hard of compassion could understand, not that the Prop 8 people put on a good legal show - they made fools of themselves and exposed the real reason for the proposition - deep, deep ignorant bigotry. But Judge Walker took gender out of the equation, and spoke of marriage between equal partners which should make every woman in the US thrilled. I know it won't, lol, but it should. Massachusetts has gay marriage - their marriage rates are up, their divorce rates are down and so far they haven't been hit by a lightening bolt. Everyone's happy, except the bigots because they are afraid of how this will affect their marriages ( ... )

In the whole realm of human behavior, gay sex and marriage between two consenting adults hardly seems something over which to have such hysterics....And yet, the whole idea appears to horrify and completely consume some people, who can't appear to go about their own daily lives out of obsession with what other people may or may not be doing in the privacy of their own bedrooms.

If it weren't so serious, because they want to strip fellow citizens of basic civil rights, it would actually be funny. I hope, in a few years, it will be funny: society will look back and just laugh at the lunacy, in disbelief that anyone could have held such ludicrous beliefs.
