The betaspouse just described Chewie as "the most sympathetic character in the whole damn galaxy."

Have been doing my best to spread the Chewie love, and more so, the Chewie respect, since 1977.

Will be posting more Chewbacca/Han tonight. Whee!

Well, I try.

And as I mentioned to Evilchuckles above, all the requisite elements for slash are there. Just need to be less freaking speciesist than Lucas himself. Still burns me that Chewie didn't get a meda1.

I also ship Reboot Scotty/Keenser. As married, in fact. Not sure if I can call it slash, since my Keenser's species has different sexes than ours. And also invented the universal translator, which works just like their minds do.

No! My eleven-year-old self was deeply incensed at this injustice (my 43 year old self is still pretty steamed). My mother tried to placate me with the idea that Leia just couldn't reach to put a medal on him. I remember saying something along the lines of "he could have ducked!" He's much taller than most everyone around him. I bet he ducks a lot, and can do so with dignity.
