So Shiny....

New Grill
Originally uploaded by Sunsplash. Summer can officially begin! It's been sad not to have a working grill. The plate that sits over the flame and spreads it out, rusted through in our old one. There was just one flame in one single area. It was impossible to cook on.

We thought about replacing the part, but the grates were rusty and the bottom of the grill is also showing signs of rust.

So, here's the new shiny toy. Stainless steel should have better odds in the weather (we do bring it in for winter). I guess it's only fair since I got a new washing machine and dryer. In our defense, the old ones did break.

Anyone know if you can somehow recycle a grill? Big trash day is on Tuesday, but if there's something else I can do with it, I'd be more than happy to. I'm trying to get us down to 1 bag of trash a week. We already recycle like mad, need to cut out the fast food and we'd be set. I was so happy that our dryer went to a family that lost theirs in the flood, but the grill is beyond repair or use. My brother will be taking the grates, but the rest is pretty useless. We'll be using the propane tank, as it's still fine.

Can't wait to see what our first meal is going to be! Hubby is sending me to the store tomorrow....
