My Dearest Pat,
So I heard you’re appalled with the Episcopal Church for installing its first female Presiding Bishop in history. Actually, I believe
you said "Appalled is too weak a word to describe this thing.”
Wow. This must really have struck a nerve with you. But I think I can understand why. This woman, Katharine Jefferts-Schori, is simply insane. There's really no other explanation for it. I mean, she's in favor of ordaining homosexuals and blessing same-sex couples. She even goes as far to say that Jesus Christ isn’t the only path to God,
saying:
“If we insist that we know the one way to God, we've put God in a very small box."
Craaa-zeee.
Honestly, just who does she think she is? Some kind of “new woman” with an actual place or purpose in the world? Tsh. I think we all know where that kind of thinking leads us. You said it best in one of my favorite
wikiquotes:
"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."
The Episcopileans just seem to be trying to be as blasphemous as possible. First they approve that homosexual bishop in 2003, and now they install a woman. What are they thinking? I agree with you when you said that the Episcopal Church has “lost its raison d’être.” That's right--there's no need for the Episcopal Church to exist anymore. Who needs them when we have You? Not me.
As of this moment, the Episcopal Church and their radical female/homosexual/liberal Bishops are offically DEAD TO ME!
And now it’s time to put the cats to bed. Goodnight, Pat Robertson.
