Ok, this'll be dull, but it's something to notice.
The past week or so, all of the news stories here have concerned one thing... Hurricane Andrew. This Saturday will mark the 10th year after that horrible storm. Here, we hardly got hit, but down in parts of Miami, they are STILL recovering. It's amazing what power that storm had. It also had some good points about it too: bringing awareness that buildings needed stricter codes and whatnot and some of the changes it made in our landscape. However, those can both be seen as bad points, since it also led to increased home insurance rates or insurance companies (such as State Farm) dropping many customers, and it killed many rare species of animal and plant living in the Everglades. It rare for anything to be totally good or totally bad. Most everything has an up and a down side. Sometimes, it just takes a little bit of digging to figure it all out, but you can find it.
