When I was camping, I saw something I would consider astounding. We had gone to a car show in St. Ignage, and after we had been hanging out for a while, there was an announcement over the speakers that they were going to play our country's song, then start the parade. Those first notes hit, and the entire city stopped. All the cars and radios were turned off, the stands stopped selling, and every person stood. There wasn't so much as a baby crying in the background. As far as the eye could see in either direction, people showing respect.
It was a nice change from the usual nation of ungrateful brats.
